Default Positracktion

ok, i have a 98 gt conv. and really want to lay 2 sets of rubber. can anyone help me with this? how hard is it to put a posi in? which kind should i buy? how much am i looking at spending after instillation and everything? thanks

I considered getting a posi too. Do you think the shop would charge any more to install this if I get it installed the same time I get gears installed?

Ford's version of Positraction is called Trac Loc.

Your GT should allready have a posi differential in it, it might be due for a rebuild.

Ford sells a kit that isn't very expensive but you will need to know how to remove the carrier assembly and how to replace the clutch packs.

I lay two sets of rubber in my 96.....gt's come w/ limited slip (pretty much the same thing as posi) so you should be able to. Your clutches in your differential might be worn out.

All GT's after the 90's should have Posi standard.

I think your guy's need to be rebuilt.

Posi = Limited Slip
