Default Programmer/Chip/Dynotune???

Hey guys I'm planning on getting my car dynotuned but I spoke to my boy last night that has a 11 sec Lightning and he was telling me that even though I'm getting a dynotune I still need a chip or power programmer to flash the ECU. I've never heard of this before, is it true??

usually when you get a dyno tune they'll chip it to store the changed settings

You will need something to flash the ECU unless the location keeps one handy for mustang people. Most places keep the equipment to reconfigure an SCT or Diablo chip or have someone specifically come in to do it from the company who sold your chip, or have the rep from the company that sold your tuner do the dyno tune at their shop.

Alright I'll ask the shop to see. If I have to buy one of them then screw the dynotune.
