just out of curiosity....once theres a pro 5.0 shifter in your car....how do you get it out?

take off the boot and unbolt it then put stock shifter back on.

well i didnt put it on, it was on when i bought the car, its been real rough getting into third and reverse lately, i put a new clutch in and the guy at the shop said it was the shifter that was the problem...but how do you take the bolts off...i cant find a wrech that fits them (theyre not really bolts, theyre black thngs with a lot of rivets on the edges)

Hmmmm it could be that the stop bolt on the shifter are preventing you from going all the way into third... And I have heard rumors about shortshifters "damaging" transmission. I don't know if there is any truth to this however...

Well now let me ask this...has anyone ever heard of counterfiet 5.0 shifters, because to tell you the truth, i think mine sucks.

to be honest 5.0 shifters are the worst short shifters ive ever delt with. Sure there a little bit shorter then stock but there are by far better shifters out there (steeda tri-ax, mgw)

yea..so ive heard, i was about to install my steeda triax when i ran into the little problem of taking out the 5.0, but i think ill leave it in for a while until i figure out if theres anything wrong with my tranny

Id get the mgw shifter if i was you. if your going to swap them out that is. It can rotate 360 degrees Steeda is good too only reason i got steeda is cuz i got it for $120
