Is shifting into first the only gear you have trouble in? And I think you might have your meaning of "engaging the clutch" mixed up. No pressure on the pedal means that the clutch plates are engaged (driving), while depressing the pedal will disengage the clutch plates.

no it wont let me shift into any gear unless i slam it into the gear and when i shift gears 1-2 and2-3 it gives me a hard time
i have the clutch set so that when i let it out it grabs right off the floor

I think you need to get to a shop asap and get it checkdd out. You are asking for trouble "jamming it into gear" in a t-45

I know sometimes, when you push in the clutch real quick, and put it into 1st on my car, sometimes it wont go in easily. It's just the syncro's, thats my guess.

My 03 GT is currently at the Ford Dealership. They are installing a Syncronizer kit. My tranny wouldn't go into first or second gear. Sometimes you could downshift into second.

My guess is that it's something to do with your syncro's.
