First off, if your stock, I wouldnt bother with a new t/b and plenum, unless your gonna get a CAI for it to complete the whole induction part. And I've heard both 75mm and 70mm are good, some argue 75 is too big and some say its not. But if your stock, get gears and exhaust first, and then a handheld tuner. Underdrive Pullies are pretty cheap and free up a good amount of power. But if you absolutely want a new t/b and plenum, go with Accufab, nothing but the best.

Until you open up the exhaust end, you will not feel any gains from the tb/plenum. Do the exhaust first.

Mike, I would go with whoever said gears. I would do gears and a tune. The TB/plenum is going to cost anywhere from 3-4 hundred, and its goin to give you 5-10rwhp from the dynos i've seen, but I would get a Cold air intake also with it, which costs around 1-2 hundred. If you have a 5spd, i'd get a short shifter also... but this thread is about TB/Plenums, so this is my answer to that... I'd go with either BBK or Accufab for TB.. C&L Plenums are good and a tad cheaper then the accufab one, which you pay for nothing but bling on the plenum side. rpmoutlet.com, has some decent deals, but i'd call them to order not online... this way they can talk you through it, lol.

Oh, and as far as size.. I went 75mm. Can't tell me it's to big, and it hurts, when i've seen the extra 5mm dyno 1-2rwhp higher - and most people that put superchargers on there car go bigger then 75mm anyway.. so, yeah.

on my car right now i do have exhuast, gears, cold air, and a diablo chip. what im mostly trying to figure out is what to do next. i thought tb and plenum would be a good step. im mostly looking at bolt on mods. but asside from bolt ons, how hard would a cam be to install. oo i also have an auto trans. so i dont know what my limits would be.

I see a lot of people saying exhaust 1st but then most say dont bother unless you are doing Long tubes. LTs andan off road pipe is a lot more than a TB/Plenum combo. I am not arguing the fact that opening up the exhaust is best, but if its a budget thing the TB/Plenum is a cheaper way out. Then once the exhaust is done itll be even better. I mean is it worth doing a cat'd mid pipe and shorties?
