Default 10.99 1/4 mile time in a Mach1?

My boss says his son ran a 10.99 in his 04 Mach with only bolt ons, full exhaust, predator, intake, short throw shifter, driveshaft, and 4.55 gear in the rear I think. I'm just wondering if that time is possible without a power adder of some kind. My boss likes to stretch the truth and I just found that time kinda hard to believe.

I wouldn't think that time would be possibile w/ any sort of power w/o drag slicks. Could be wrong though.

I doubt a Mach 1 can run 10s with no power adder, this new 578 rwhp shelby ran a 10.99, and it's supercharged...so i highly doubt that it's possible in a Mach 1 with no s/c

Thats an understatment

Theres no way with just those bolt on's. Low 13's mabey if hes a really good driver.

Consider this and then you can form your own opinion. A heavily modded GT500 just ran 10.99 seconds in the 1/4, with 580 rwhp and 572 rwtq and a pro driver. My blown roush wont even break 12's and it has roughly 420 at the crank. He is full of it plain and simple

That's what I thought, most S/C Cobras have a hard time putting up those kind of numbers without doing something to the internals of the engine. Like I said, my boss loves to stretch the truth. I'm gonna ask him for some time slips.

I would call BS on your boss...nicely though, (he is your boss). W/o some huge shot or blower, or something, he is not reaching the N/A w/ a 4.6

+1. I 've seen a N/A Mach 1 with bolt ons and drag radials consistently run 12.6-12.8. He ran a cobra that was there and he beat him. The Cobra ran a 12.8, he ran a 12.7. My point is, I doubt your boss could break 10's. This is one of those times where he's stretching the truth.
