3:73 vs 4:10
Changing gears to a steeper ratio will make you accelerate to your top speed quicker, but your top speed won't be as high as with the stock gears (if you had the power to max those out)
Honestly, you don't need to be going over 100 mph IMO

I've been to 145 with 2:73's racing a saleen across the the 80 coming from Cali and he beat the **** out of me in everyway except when I'd wot at 120-145. Doesn't help im sure but I thought i'd share anyway!

Regardless, my 4.10's are great. Your top speed might suffer a little, and rpms would be painfully high if sustaining 100+ mph speeds, but like 99GT said, you shouldn't be going that fast anyway. Your trap speed certainly won't suffer any ill effects either, if thats what you were getting at.
The worst thing about 4.10's IMO? If you have a 5 speed you better shift fast

Your top speed will not suffer. If your car was powerful enough, you would still be able to hit 160+ with 4.10's.
