Default Newb Question

Everybody says Flowmaster has drone. What do you mean by drone.

While I disagree with that statement, drone is when a certain RPM is held, or passed, that vibrates the entire interior of the car. And makes this weird buzzing noise throughout the car. Sometimes, depending on how fast you are going, like on highways at 2100rpm in 5th, your RPM's may be stuck at that number and it's this annoying monotonous buzzing they call drone.

It doesn't happen very often to my car, maybe only when the car is cold sometimes it happens. Otherwise that.................FLOWS FTW!

*sigh*

I'm really not sure which kind of x-pipe it is, I bought it with the car, and it has no logo on it, or it might have been scraped off because it's the lowest point on underbody...damn speed bumps...

And so did the Cobra spoiler. I know you can buy them on ebay for sure. Check that out.

My '03 GT had Flowmaster 40s with an o/r H-pipe of unknown origin when I bought it and it was bothLOUD and heck (to the point of embarassment, as a stock '03 GT just isn't THAT fast a car), and had a drone at 2100-2200 RPM (80 or so with the stock gears) that would drive you batty in less than 15 minutes.I installed a UPR catted X-pipe that tamed the LOUD part but the drone was still there, then one day after a 150 mile trip on I-10 I stopped at the local muffler shop and had 'em weld in a pair of Magnaflows--it's not the exact sound I'd like (very NASCARish) but it's not bad and the 2100-2200 RPM drone is gone.If you do any long distance highway driving I would not recommend the 2-chamber Flows...
