anybody hear ever get caught with no cats on there car? what happend?

someone said it was a against federal law, but never herd of anyone get caught.

 

Most cops wont say a thing to you about it, But if they do, they cant do nothing the first time, they have to give you time to fix it.

 

give ya a ticket and you can get a receipt saying that you added a midpipe back on, and the ticket would be dropped.

Worst I could see happening. But arround here nothing.

 

Eli at GTR Mustang in Rancho Cucamonga, CA got poppeda year ago. Cost him$1000 in mandatory fines (IT IS NOT JUST A "FIX IT" TICKET) and another $800 or so in other related costs. And his car didn't even get towed, which would have cost around another $500. The chances of you getting caught depends on how bored cops are, how stupid you are and how often you bone out.

 

Not every jurisdiction has these "Fix it" tickets everyone preaches as universal.

Chances are, you might fail safety/emission inspections, but there is a 99.99999999% chance you will never get a ticket for having no cats.

 

Do not pass go, Do not collect $200 dollars, Go directly to jail.

 

out here in vegas, police arent allowed to write tickets for missing cats. all they can do is enfore city ordanances for decibel levels, they "arent qualified" to inspect a vehicle for catalytic converters cause alot of aftermarket ones are hard to spot. only time u get caught out here is if youre street racing and the cops wanna dick with you or at inspection.

 

well..from what i see and hear CA is crazy with that kind of stuff and cries over everything..as for the rest of the country or most of it at least, most cops dont know any better to begin with, and the ones who do normaly dont care because he had a hot rod when he was younger with loud pipes, or at very least a fix it ticket

 

I got pulled over and the cop just smiled and said you haveloud high flowing cats .
I have a bbk o/r h pipe

 

Ya im trying to figure out what the new york law is... jthomsen, i think jail is alittle much.
