Shift before 2500 (if it's stick) and don't give the car more then a quarter throttle. After I got my long tubes and underdrive pullies installed I get a lot better gas milage and performance out of my car.

Buy a Corolla... Seriously though, there really isn't a whole lot you can to to make more than a 5% difference (unless you're getting some absurdly poor mileage now)--there's all the usual stuff their flapping about lately:[ul][*]windows up on the highway, down in town;[*]increase tire pressures (which BTW is what's done on the hybrids as part of the BS surrounding same);[*]tune-up;[*]accelerate like an old man wearing a hat;[*]drive 55-60 mph;[*]etc...[/ul]

after doing that, running 87, and driving a little different, i gained 2m.p.g not going to say this will work for you, but give it a try.

Yeah I didn't buy a Mustang for gas mileage either. I am getting about 16-17 mpg city with the LTs, reconditioned heads, and under drive pullies. I got 22 highway when I went to the beach. I was getting about 12-14 before.
