Default Selling the stang... :-(

But buying another one!!

I just put down a deposit on a '99 Cobra!! Rio red with 48k miles on it . Completely stock.

Went up to look at it and test drive it tonight, and it was AMAZING. It feels SO much different compared to my 98. Got a decent deal on it too. I was just about to buy a Vortech Mongoose kit for my GT last week... but then I found this Cobra. Newer car with 25k miles less on it than my GT... and I've always wanted a Cobra so I had to check it out. I'll try and get some pictures up tomorrow.

I had a BBK o/r H and Flowmaster cat-back on my GT, I guess I was wondering what a good exhaust set-up would be for this Cobra. I'm looking for something a lot quieter and a little more exotic-sounding. X pipe w/ what sort of cat-back?? Suggestions?

Doesn't the 99 have the stick axle etc etc just like a GT? I thought you could swap the exhaust right off the GT onto there?

You should check it out, if you can it should save you some money and you will have instant mods

ah thats right, they had the weaker IRS in 99 and then switched to the stronger one in 03 right?

The midpipe will swap though won't it?

In 01 came the upgraded 31 spline axles and 03 brought Bilstiens and more refinements, but the overall hardware, to my knowledge, is all the same.

The midpipe I dunno about. Something signifigant must have changed in 99 because every aftermarket midpipe I've seen has different part # and application details for SN95s and New Edges. It's worth a shot. If any one knows of a fitment difference I'd love to know wtf it is....
