Thats the catch 22 right now Zach, lol, I don't want to launch TOO GOOD just yet. At least not until I build up the rear end some more. I could probably get by I'm sure, but it only takes one time to break a halfshaft or something and calling up AAA.

I will eventually get some good drag radials... but for now I'm just gonna play with my street tires and improve my driving skills before I move on to DR's.

A 200 shot?? Holy batman. Have you had that tuned yet on the dyno? I'm curious to what numbers its laying down with that.
Well NX guarantees your rwhp number to be within 5% of the shot, so lets see. 328rwhp N/A + 200 is 528 gvie or take.

I'd be VERY safe saying 520/600.

And there is not really anything to tune. The fuel curves and crap have been adjusted for spray. All I have to do it decresease timing 2 degrees/50shot, and If I have enough fuel, it will be ok. I'd like to take a look at the A/F gauge b4 I do it, but I dont have one. lol. I'm gonna burrow one.

I've beat the crap out of my 28 spline rear end on slicks, and it's been fine. lol

That would be a very good race! Easpcially with you having the better gearing, and more suspension mods!

How about a standing mile? Those are my favorites! I once tried to get them to take some trucks out with me and block off some part of the highway and set up a standing mile dragstrip. Apparently my Captain didnt feel that was a good idea and i guess the fire service doesnt have that kind of juristiction. Eh screw the PD! Between me driving a stang and being a firefighter i **** them off enough! Dude when you gonna get rid of that IRS! You're killing me here!

I'd love a stand mile, but my clutch doesnt like to hold onto 4th gear anymore

The IRS hasdone some 1.7 60ft's man. The only reason I'm swapping still is b/c of the weight.

I bought a SRA already. Just building it up.

a 200 shot? get it on video for sure
I've posted TONS of videos with the 150 shot. It's only 50 more. lol

Stroker motor + nitrous + sticky tires = very nasty 60 ft. Goldeneagle, I suggest you rev the **** out of it and hope not to break anything when you dump the clutch.lol

Eh, I'm not worried if Zach beats me... its more ofa test to me of how I'm driving compared to someone with some experience under their belt. I doubt revving high is gonna be my best bet. Even tho the tires I will have are better than what I got... they are still street tires. I can probably launch at 1-2k rpms higher than I do now, but spinning will still be an issue for me. Hopefully by then, I will have my MMFLSFC's on, my H&R Race springs and MM caster camber plates on to help with the wheel hop. If I'm a good enough driver... I believe I could be low 7's with those mods included.
It's not like we are arch rivals looking just to beat each other. Just friends with 2 fast cars. lol

Your trap speed is plenty proof to me that it could run low 7's. Theres no question. MY car (ON AVERAGE) will put down a 7.70@92with a 1.80 60ft. 3.5 mph is a BIG difference.

You just need to get some D/R's and that will ABSOLUTELY eliminate any wheel hop at the track. I didnt believe it either, but it works. lol
I dunno, I have nitto 555Rs and I still hopped last time i was at the track, really bad, on the shifts, and even in 1st and 2nd just when i got in the power band. buyt then again, the track sucked a big one. but I also have a solid rear, so golden might be in trouble with hop no matter what he does.

also, i was trying to search for any info on ur new setup. Ur a 5.0 stroker right? and had been running a 150 shot? what were u putting down then, and what are u hoping to make now? What are ur new mods? (if u have a link somewhere around here that will answer all that I can just read that )

So far on just a stock IRS, the only time I'm hopping is when I'm in 1st gear. Once I shift to 2nd, it either spins or hooks. I think between subframes and tires, its gonna help quite a bit... may not take the hop out 100%, but its a step in the right direction. If I can pull a 2.06 60ft with the F1's, I think 1.8's is possible and keep me relatively close to ZW99GT off the line.

Zach, do you think your gonna have traction problems when you hit the 200 shot? When would you spray that on your run?

I have a IRS and obviously so does goldeneagle10. I had BAD trouble with wheel hop on street tires. BAD. I got some REAL drag radials, MT ET Street Radials, and it is 100% GONE. 100%. Cutting 1.7 60fts on a decent track, powershifting 1-2 everytime, nothing. I couldnt believe it. I'm sure a Nitto would take away some, but nothing like a real Rsticky tire.

I have dyno numbers for N/A and the 100 shot. 328/340 and 426/509 respectivelyat the wheelsDA corrected.

I have been running the 150 shot, 3 times at the track, and it did well.Well Kinda. lol
The first time out ever on spray(100 shot)I was stuck in the8's (or in the 12's for the 1/4 mile guys)but I was trapping 93-94.

When Iwentup to the 150 shot I LOSTSPEED. The clutch was slipping BAD BAD BAD. I trapped 93 a couple times, then next time out, 92's, then next time out, 90's............. you get the picture.

New mods for summer are strickly drivetrain(asidefrom popping a different jet in there)and I expect the following.

N/A 12.30's (7.90's@86-87)
150 shot 10.90's (6.90's@100).

If I can get to the 10's (6's) with the 150, which I should be able to, I'll stay put, if not, I'm throwin in the big boys and seewhere the200shottakes me.

No traction issues are in sight. People have run 9 sec 1/4 mile passes (5 sec 1/8 mile passes) on these radial tires, so I have nothing to worry about there. NOW, will I start breaking things????? probably.

IF I break something, it will simpily be replaced by a stronger part. That's the only way to think about it. I am in no way scared to go out to the track tommorow and strip out the tranny, or go home on a flatbed. You cant be timid when tryingto take a full weight street car into the 10's.
