I just got off the phone with MPH asking about my oil situation and I asked about how much it would be for there shortblock with installation a tune and everything and he said it would be around $8k. That seems like a ton of money to me. There shortblock is $1500 more than the mmr600 but I think it would be almost worth it.
How much has it cost you guys to get a fully built motor? This includes the motor, installation, and everything.
If I had to get something I think I would lean towards the mmr 600 or 900 or one of there stroker kits, any idea how much all of this would cost?
Give me some figures guys!!!!!!!!

Lemme get this straight, for the mmr900 shortblock and installation it's only $5500? Who's installing it and what other stuff did you need to purchase for the sb?

 

Block was 3680 shipped! I got the mainstuds, headstuds, and headgaskets plus the windage tray. 1800 for install, extra gaskets, fluids, and tune. I did not include purchase price and install of TKO

 

that's what I was thinking. The longblock alone is $5300, which by looking at it is strong but probably puts out stock HP numbers until you upgrade the:
heads: (stage2)$699
valves:$275
springs$239
cams:$639
if you plan on making decent power you probably upgrade:
oil pump:$99
main studs:$169
rod bolts:$99

bringing the total to...$7519 before tax, install and supporting mods like injectors,tune, maf, tb and the list goes on. Besides I've heard just about as much bad as I have heard good about mmr. I personally have never dealt with them so I can't speak from experience but don't ever going into a build on a tight budget.
