Default Track times

Well I cant find my time slips but I ran a 15.034 for my first run and spun all the way through first and my 60ft was 2.6 . For my second run I got a 14.7 and a 2.3 60ft. This was my first time at the track. And on the second run I did a little burnout right before I ran and got on the converter a little and got a lot better launch and didnt spin as much in first.

Yea, your traction will make a huge differnce.

Next time you go to the track, take either a set of drag radials that you've borrowed, or just get some nittos to DD on.
It's amazing the difference between street tires, and something that actually gets sticky on purpose.

+1000 to this. Anyone who says tires wont make a difference have been living in a cave for too long. I'd say Nitto's will work good for what you have... but you could always go with M/T's. They grip better than the nitto's at the track... but they wont last as long either.

Yep, MT's will certainly have more potential at the track, but for a minimally modded 4.6 that is rearely at he track, nittos will do the job.

That is funny cuz my brother-Freeunit- just went to the track with his bolt on 99gt and he couldnt get traction for hell. He has 4.10's, superchip, h-pipe, Flows, Tb/plenum, C.A.I., BRAND NEW 295 BFG's in the rear, Pulleys, upper/lower CA's and I think thats it. But his best fun was a 14.4 at like 98 or somethin. The track wasin terrible shape but I strongly feel that he should be in the high 13's consistantly. What do you think he could do with some good DR's? He is an auto too and he had LT's to install soon.

Yeah I was realy surpised at the difference bettween the track and the street. I get traction so much easier on the street. My friend who races every weekend said that the track sucked cause there was a bunch of rice burners doing passes he said that street tires make the track not as sticky. It was funny thought to whatch the little hondas and here people in the audience say wow 17 that ****in quick lol

no no no no no MT's! He is an auto (according to his sig), the M/T's will make you bogg bigtime, take it from me who made a $300 mistake[&:]...With an auto and stock stall, you cant launch high enough to take advantage of them......best tire for a bolt on auto new edge is the BF Goodrich G force sport (in my experience, and i have tried many tires)...........Drag Radials are a big NO NO with a bolt on auto with no aftermarket stall....with the BFG street tires you will cut 2.0 short times all day long
