A buddy of mine has a 2001 Mustang GT. He's got 3"magnaflow exhaust with X pipes. He's got a K&Nair filter, and3.55 gear ratio. He wants toknow what are the next mods in order that he should begetting to gain more horsepower.

 

he probably should have gotten at least 3.73 gears instead of the 3.55's but oh well. theres alot he could do next. Does he want alot of power? Save for a blower. does he want some cheap power? throw on a NX kit. does he just want more bolt-ons? LT headers...underdrive pullies (unless he does plan to s/c)...TB/ plenum....it all depends on what he wants to do.

doesnt a 3in exhaust take a little away from power on a non f/i car? i wanna say i read that somewhere, not positive though.

 

Yes, you should only use 3inch exhuast if you have450hp or more , below that u will loose some power. With the mods he has he should have gotten 2 1/2 inch

 

I would bet money that it is 2.5" exhaust but the tips are 3 inches.
