What does it take for a 99-04 5Spd. GT to be neck and neck with a 98-02 6spd F-body LS1?

A good bit. I dynoed Saturday and put down 320 rwhp and 335 ft/lbs tq with only a lid and catback. Less than 300 bucks in mods...

600 dollars will get you a good Nitrous Kit, Tune, and Install that will surely put you ahead of any Stock LS1

It's hard to run with the LS WHATs when they are stock much less when they are modded. They come on so strong on the big end. If you get them out of the hole, they have a tendency to drive around ya. Just spray it and way bye-bye. If you are wanting to run them at the track, do full exhaust, all the bolt-ons, sticky tires and lots of suspension work...that'll get her done.

Nitrous kit..... $600.00

Full Bolt Ons, exhuast, sticky tires, and suspension work..... $2,400.00

Making your ride to soo bad *** that you can mock every LS type motor in the world as they look at your rear bumper liscence plate..... PRICELESS....

For everything in the world that money cant buy....... everything else.... they'res the Bucket Card.....

It wouldnt hurt to do some engine work, i know our engines can produce the power they can, i mean yes there is no replacement for displacement but there sure has to be a great advantage to the technology put into our engines. I suppose the only way to go is a 4v, but maybe it could also be the design of our combustion chamber?

I mainly asked this question today because i was driving behind an 02 Camaro SS and in my head i wanted to race it but i knew the outcome would have come to me losing. I personally didn't like that feeling maybe some of you get this as well.

You are on your way, bro. After your suspension is done...start saving for axles, Eaton posi and rear end girdle.
