Default Stock 96-98 Cobra ?

Does anyone know what a stock 96-98 Cobra runs in the 1/8? Are stock 96-98 Cobra's faster than 99-04 GT's?

I heard they are hard to drive due to their powerband....but the 96-98 cobra should be faster

They're not hard to drive...you just cant be a baby and be afraid to get it up into the powerband.

In the full quarter mile, they should be good for a 13.8-13.9 bone stock, which is just a tad better than a 99-04GT, but in the 1/8th, before they can really pull up high in the last 1/8th, they'd be alot closer to a GT from 99-04 than they really should be.

1/8th Mile race they should be in the 9.0-9.2 range depending on your launch, of course I wouldnt hold your breath for those times if youre bone stock and at the track for your first time either.

Roll races they should walk relatively easily away from the mentioned GT's, but a dig race to 100 or so would be closer than the numbers indicate.

i'm probably swapping a 4v in my GT soon, what's with the powerband, does the car loose traction once it hits it or what?

i think they are just saying that you cany puss out up top (the power band for the cobra is really high, i think around 5-7 rpm but not totally sure) just have to drive it like you stole it
