Hey i bought my 04 mach 1 a little over a year ago and i do love it. but recently i have been thinking about moving to a 07 mustang GT. I have always liked the body style of the new stangs more so than my style which would be a big reason why i would switch. Only problem is i cant decide if its worth trading in somethign thats a little more unique and also a bit faster or so i have read (have not lined up next to one at a light personaly).my mach is completly stock at the moment too, so i could use that extra 3-4 thousand dollars i'd spend on a new gtto mod the mach but really wouldnt even know where to start. any thoughts?

 

The mach is a great car and it is rarer.... but the 07 is an all around better car!

You can get a brand new 07 with warranty and all that good stuff. It is an all around better built car!

Their engines also have more potential as well. STOCK ones have been supercharged and made 500+rwhp safely. And with some cash they can go N/A 400rwhp+

I think our 2v and 4v engines sound better though [&:]

 

i would stay with the Mach simply because i like the look of our cars better than the 05+....but you already said that you personally prefer them. so if thats the case...i guess you might as well get the 07 GT. get whatever you like more and you would enjoy driving more.

I would say stick with the Mach better engine set-up, just get some forged rods and pistons and slap a supercharger and you can get a lot more out of the Mach then the 07 plus the Machs look 100X better IMO.

 

I am gonna have to vote for you to stay with the Mach, even though I am partial to the new edge body style...and also I am going to have to agree with Adam when he said our stangs sound better.
I have yet to hear a mean sounding s197 on the street.

thanks for the input. i have not test drove the 07 yet. i'm planning on doing that later today just to see/feel it ya know. really what i am so hung up onis the power difference between the two and the uniqeness of the mach.

i doubt i ever go for a supercharger. i would love to do it but as of nowit is my daily driver and that would probably be a little less reliable.

wow, crappy phone pic or not, i sure do love red mach 1's . if you are looking for a s197 but want unique, maybe go for a roush or a saleen. they look awesome imo, but still.....how could you say no to your mach?
