Default DTS girdle

Got a chance to pick one up from a friend for 100.00 including gasket and bolts. Brand new! Any thoughts??

If you had an IRS Cobra, a high hp car, or a track carI'd say take it and run, but it's mostly just dress up for ya....

Worth every penny...That cover adds strengh to the main caps(and housing)...Main cap flex it usually the cause of most gear failuresunder hard accel.The pinion actually tries to shove the trac lock unitright out the azz end(usually with DR or slicks)..If you plan on running at the track,,hookin somewhat anywhere,it really is worth it...I've got one...

This is my Mark Williams unit with 40 spline axles and BIG azzmain caps...Girdle wouldnt reallybe nessesary on this one.

No prob...Another thing I didnt do,,but will at some point.,is replace the factory style Crush Sleeve with a solid spacer...The impact of lauching can eventuallycollaspe the crush sleeve abit causing the pinion to be loose,,most just tighten it back down ..eventually ruining the pinion bearings,possibly the gears...
