Default Need 300 HP

After adding thea JLT CIA, O/R H pipes and tuning it with a SCT2 tuner I went from 224 HP to 250.The tune added 3 hp but cut down 3 on the torgue side.Im in ABQ, new mexico about 5200 feet. I consider 250 HP to be weak. My Saleen is a 2001 non supercharged machine.
Ok now the question: I would like to get 300HP, I would be very happy with 300HP. Short of installing a SC kit or Turbo how can I get 300HP?

If I did go with a Turbo or SC besides Saleens SC IV who do you recommend?

I welcome all input and if there are any tuners out there let me know a setup.

Thanks

Well, you could get a KB, but it would be overkill for your engine...unless you plan on getting a shortblock in the future, the procharger or vortech will do you just fine.

Do long tubes, and cams, and maybe a plenum that should get you very close to your 300 marker.

Ok call me stupid but what are these parts and how do they fit into the scheme of things?
Long tubes? will they work with o/r h pipes? or is something different all together.

Your o/r h will only work on shorty headers. If you were to get long tube headers you will have to purchase a different mid-pipe to fit the long tubes. I think that, with a heads/cams combo will put you at 300 if not a little more. I see that being your best bet if you want to avoid using boost.

Can I ask what you plan on using this 300hp for? track? road course? for fun? cause gears would also help if your looking for straight away speed. Won't add hp but you will notice a big difference. It just depends on what direction your heading for.

Long tube headers, yes you will need to replace your mid-pipe with a shorty o/r h pipe. ,cams =camshafts, for a naturally aspirated car you can do stage 1 with no spring replacement, or go stage 2 which will need to springs ( camshafts give a bigger lift compared to the stock camshafts)
A plenum is what the throttle body is attached to that sits on top of the intake manifold and that helps air flow.
With those mods you will reach what you are looking for.

Im really not sure what Im going to do with her. I have3:50 gears now. I just want it to be faster off the line.
300 just seems like a do able number without a lot extra bucks. I ws disappointed in her only getting 250HP. I like the idea of keeping what I have done and adding to the changes I have made already.

That's gonna be a little rough without a little headwork.

True maybe if he wants to make the 300 he can send his heads to get ported and a valve job from CNC for better flow.

check this. It would most likely be cheaper than buying heads and cams and having them installed.
