With these 2v's(assuming that is what you have) there really isn't such thing. Gears would probably be the best bang for you buck. Otherwise there are the usual bolt ons but don't expect anything huge. Full exhaust would also be a good place to start.

simple mods + horsepower = 4V engine

simple mods + horsepower + 2V engine = No such thing

you see what im getting at. gears will give you the appearance of speed with better acceleration. a Throttle Body and Plenum combo will give you a hell of a lot better throttle response than stock. But start with buying a K&N filter and removing your air silencer. Then start on your exhaust ( you will need longtubes to unlock real power) after that, its a matter of head, cams, F/I, nitrous work. these motors are not cheap to mod

Nitrous is the best bang for the buck as far as RWHP. Gears give you a great kick in the pants but no better HP. 100 shot is what I went with and I gained 72 RWHP and it put me over the 300 mark for less than $1k including all accessories.

+1 ibeeskeef is right, there is NO HP gain with gears, it simply just gives you a more kick in the pants feeling. Bolt on mods do give some HP, SOME being the key word, you will never really achieve the same HP without a 4v motor, our 2v head is the restrictive point, but you can squeeze every pony out by un-restricting everything else ie-intake, exhaust, fuel, ect.....

Second best thing for your car besides true HP, make that sucker look really fast, and scare the compitition away... [sm=badbadbad.gif]

Gears give more than a "Kick in the pants feeling." True they don't add any horsepower, but they do increase acceleration-which is why we want horsepower in the first place; to make our cars faster. Gears are just another way to reach the same goal.

I just installed VT Stage 1 cams a few weeks ago and was very happy with results. Noticable gain in power. Although i already had full exhuast and intake setup with helped them perform as good as they can till i have it tuned.

Not really considered a simple mod!
