I have some extra paint left over from fixing my car after the accident and thought about painting the side mirrors to match. What do you guys think?

I will wet sand the mirrors before painting to give the mirrors a very smooth finish.

 

I personally like the black mirrors but it would probably look pretty good.

 

Well I am going to do it when that time comes. I think its a subtle clean look, but my car is black already so I'm not sure on a white car. Photoshop it.

 

Ive seen a white 99-04 GT around NJ with painted mirrors and it stands out to me, its a subtle but when you park next to another stang the whole car looks so much better. Iam in the process of painting my own, i already sanded, wetsanded, and primered it. All i have to do is wetsand the primed mirrors and they are ready for Base then clear.

 

Ive been wanting to do mine, if you do it take some pics, and a write up. And my car is white so it would be cool to see what mine would look like.

 

I am going to do it this sat. Ill take pics when Im done.

 

Shweet!!! I think the blacks mirrors arent good on the white Mustangs, it makes it look like Mickey Mouse ears lol IMO

 

i think it would look awesome. wouldn't mind doing that to mine either.

 

I dunno...I think you'd have to sand the hell out of them to make them completely smooth, and it'd be very easy to miss a patch of the texture and not notice until you were done, then you'd have to start all over again.
