edit: alright. when I first clicked the link, it didn't work for me. After a few minutes, it worked, and its quite an interesting article.

I just figured he was adjusting shift points with a tuner.

According to that, all I need is a 3200 stall and some DR's to be quicker than 13.5. This makes me happy [sm=bounceybounce.gif]

Whats he talking about the anderson power pipe though? I thought that was for superchargers(?) According to that they put on the power pipe before they even decided to supercharge it...

I hate to say it... but 13.47 is a LONG way from 12.99. Supercharger/Nitrous should be the first mod.

Some of us don't have the luxury of having the coin for a supercharger...And frankly, I don't want my first experience with nitrous to be on a car that I still owe $9K on. If I don't have the money for a supercharger I definitely don't have the money to rebuild my engine if it blows.

Just speaking from experience. Full bolt-ons costs more than a full used supercharger kit.

I know. But for many it is easier to spend a few hundred bucks at a time rather than dropping $3K all at once. And for what it is worth, the car in the article basically got it's 13.4x with gears, tune, stall and DRs (Did it even mention anything about suspension?). All of these, save for maybe the tune, are all supporting mods as far as I'm concerned. They would all be done anyway, f/i or not.

It looks like the people who wrote the article realized how difficult it would be to put the car into the 12's with no motor work, so they stopped once they got it to 13.4.

i have full length bbk headers, off road h pipe, weld in flows, prof. prod. tb and plenum (75mm) moto blue underdrive pullies, jlt RAI, slicks and a headlight delete mod. i was launching at 4500-5k shifting around 5800 and i cut a 1.80 60 foot, and a 12.97 1/4 mile. now i have lower control arms, stb and i am buying uppers, and if i still have a little extra cash im going to get strange 10 ways and hopfully get down to a mid 12. so it is possable to get into the 12s with stock gears.

and on the streets im nose to nose with a camarro ss and ws6 and i raced one c5 vette and was nose to nose with that. so im happy with my stang
