Default Steering problem

Hey, I wanted to see if any of you guys had any advice on my problem. I have a 2001 GT that was lowered whenI bought it, soI don't know how low it is or the brand springs used. The car hasbeen checked for alignment twice, all good. The problem that I am having only occurs while backing up with the wheel turned in either direction. It feels like the tires are pulling away from each other until one breaks traction and pops back into place, hard to explain. You can hear itand feel it in the steering wheel when it happens. Nothing appears to be loose and it only does it in reverse. It drives fine going straight or turning when moving forward. Thanks for any help.

You need to check for play in your steering shaft and rack. Something isn't right.
