Default Nitrous Question, Non Tech, Opinions...

I've thought about a small shot of nitrous before, back before I quit my job the spring before last and when I had lots of money to play with.

Now, as I continue to rebuild my savings, I was just wondering how many of you have a 50 or 75 shot of nitrous.

Is it less exspensive to do a small shot opposed to a 100? How much would I be looking at for parts/install/tune?

And what kind of ET improvement would I expect from my 13.8 as it is now compared to after a 50/75 shot of juice?

About the same I would get a kit that comes with more nozzles so you can play with it more. It really depends on what type of setup you want. A good kit will run from about 400-up

depending on wet vs dry prices, the nozzles that come with the kit are diff(50,75,100 etc), so ur gonna have a few options to play with, the price of the fill is wat will differ, the bigger shot u use the more nitrous u use, so ull refill more i guess lol. but id bet ull nock off some tenths

Well well well. Did my comment in the timeslip thread motivate you? lol

Just bite the bullet and get a NX or TNT kit. They are top notch. digital Window switch, purge, and you are set. It's not that expensive, but if you want a tune, that'd be a big % of the total cost.

Just shop around. YOU WILL LOVE IT. A 75 shot could EASILY get you down in the 12's.

There are Bolt on GT's(no internal work) going 12's. And if clint added a 75 shot to his current mods, he would be over 300rwhp, which is MORE than enough to go 12's

It didnt necessarily motivate me, i'd toyed around with the idea before, instead of getting wheels/tires I thought about juice *turns out i didnt get either :-(*
but anyways...

is it even safe to run juice w/o a tune? wouldnt that sort of be a necessity if I were to get it installed and running?

into the 12's? really?

even with a 2.0 60'

I dont konw, I suppose it depends on how the school loans go, and how work continues.. I mean, that woudl be AWESOME I think to actually hvae it, but I really dont think i'd use it that often....

Let's do some quick math. You have basic bolt-on mods right? Let's go with an easy 250rwhp N/A. Now, say you added a 75 shot. That's gonna be 325rwhp, depending on the brand you use. With torque being well above 350ft/lbs if not 375.

So on the low side, you can make 325/350. With proper tires, and a tad bit of suspension, you'd be a NDFS NOT to dip into the 12's.

If you are scared of the spray, just run it every now and then at the track.

Clint, there IS A REASON that the 2v timeslip board is topped by a trio of N20 cars. FORGET the 2v list, look at the OVERALL Mustang forum list in the 1/8 mile.

04 Cobra
01 GT (N20)
03 Cobra
01 GT(N20)
99 GT(N20)

That HAS to ring a bell somewhere in that head of yours! lol.
