Ok, i was wondering if anyone could explain to me why ford doesnt make the GT a 4v engine isntead of a 2v? its considered a high performance vehicle, so how many high performance vehicles come stock with a 2v engine besides a mustang?

 

They wouldn't be able to sell the Cobra

 

a cobra is considered high performance

a gt is just your average muscle car

 

a gt isnt a high performance vehicle its a "sports car" and ford dosnt give a **** about performance anyways they just want $ ford single handedly killed the trans am and the cat fish becuase of sales not power.

 

seems like a rip off to me. i dont think the main reason why people are buying their cobras is cause cause they get 2 more valves per cylinder.

 

they buy it because its fast as hell...and its fast as hell because......it has 2 more valves(and a blower)

 

It would be cool if the GTs were all 4v N/A and they stuck with the S/C 4v for the cobra...

 

The 4v motor has soooo much better head flow than a 2v head motor 4.6 therefore in N/A form or F/I the 4v will always make more power...given the same mods.Hence why most want a 4v to begin with.

 

even 99-01 cobras are fast

the one head on a 01 cobra same as 99 is a tad smaller then the 2 heads on a gt

 

The 2V and the 4V are dead now...it's all about the 3V.
