The biggest hype on theses forums are gears. I'm getting 3.73's. What will I get out of them? lol

Does it hurt gas mileage? And how hard is it to install.

as for where to get them, try ebay...lots of good deals on there
3.73's wont hurt your gas mileage hardly at all, but with the added acceleration, you're gonna feel more inclined to step on it more, so that'll hurt the gas mileage lol.....and for the install, pretty much everyone here would recommend getting a shop to do it, unless you're a pretty skilled mechanic...it's not an easy install

This may e further into the discussion than you'd like to go, but Imma go there anyway cause Im bored at work and I feel like acting smart for a second. As I understand it, gear ratio is a multiplication of torque, which should give you better mileage returns because your engine isn't working as hard to get to speed. However, at higher RPM.s you'll begin to lose the cost/return as far as fuel is concerned and that's where you start losing mileage. Perhaps somone can wrap this in a tighter package than me.

heh, i said "package."

Here's a quick and dirty on what more gear will do to your MPG:

In town (stop and go) MPG will improve.
Highway MPG will drop.
