Default OH MY. Cutout's and COWL HOOD! LOOK!

I just went and picked up a Cobra R hood(I guess that's what it is) looks like a 2.5-3in cowl. It IS functional BTW. It should look pretty sick once I get it painted. It's in really good shape, and I got a deal on it. Now we just have to see how much they want to paint it. lol. I'd give it about a good solid week before it's on the car. I'm nervous as hell about them being able to match the paint properly. I'll get more pics asap.

What do ya think about the hood?

And I think I posted a thread the other day about my cutout's. I posted a video with the catback off, but it sounds different and even more crazy with them on there.

Here is how the shop guy knew where to place the cutouts in my exhaust system. I'm sure some of you old racers knew to do this? Take spray paint and spray it on the exhaust piping from the header to the midpipe. And at the point that it STOPS burning off the paint, is where the exhaust is cooling off, and needs to get out. I would have never thought of that. lol.

Anyways, heres a video and below are some pictures.

The hood will definitely give the car a nice appearance boost. You should update your sig after that cuz the car IMO looks a lot better now.

that paint is going to be expensive. if you want them to match the paint really good dont just bring them the hood bring the whole car. have them paint the top of the fenders as well and blend that in so it looks alot better. my buddy used to work at a bodyshop and thats what they did.

FYI red is the most expensive pigment in paint. i got quoted from a shop for a PINT of red fire paint $111.00

i hope yours isnt that much

I have a buddy that works at an Automotive Dupont retailer, and he gets free paint. All I have to do is buy the clear coat, reducer, etc....... He's going to snap some kind of special pictures of the tops of the fenders and the old hood, and he said he can get it to match great. We shall see.
