I'm just dreaming here, but lately I've been thinking of what it would take to install a low mile used centri blower, perhaps a Paxton or Vortech. I could also get a new Paxton Novi kit for like $2850.00 non intercooled at 7.5psi.

With the current mods I have, no tune either, what supporting mods would I need to run the blower, if any? Forge anything, port anything? T/B, or headers?

I'm not looking for 400+hp, just to beef up the car. Oh, and would it be wise to put on a blower at 104,000 miles on the odometer? Yeah, it's alot...but the car runs terrifically. Still pulls really hard and chirps 3rd sometimes. No power loss so far.

There is more then one car out there with a blower that is basicaly stock everywhere else... Your probably only looking at 320ish rwhp at 7psi on a stock mustang... maybe less... depends on the tune.

Its tough to find a good deal on a blower nowadays cause that is how everyone is getting them now... used and expensive.

 

i know a guy with a new edge pushin almost 500hp out of his GT with a centi blower with no forged internals but he has alot of other work done to the car too

 

matter of time before something goes kaboom....
