does it hurt your car at all to run open header?

unless your car has a ton of miles on it then it shouldnt be bad for it. especially if you are only doing it till your midpipe comes in.

I did this for several months. It sounds great, looks cool and everything. But, because of the positioning of the O2 sensors and the lack of back pressure, you will need a tune if you want it to run right. Otherwise, your mileage will crasha nd your car will be running about twice as rich as it should. More than a couple of days and you will not only Definitely foul your plugs, one or more of them may get fouledenough that you will get missfires. So, even though it sounds cool, and works great for a few minutes. Unless you get a tune for it, it will run really rich, die at stop lights and foul your plugs in a matter of minutes. Thats my experiance. The plugs will still work for as long as a month when they are open, but they should be replaced if the headers were open for much more than maybe an hour of driving.

+1. Open longtubes is a bit different because the o2s are in the header but with stock manifolds you cant do it. Unless of course you like pulling all of your plugs and cleaning them each time you start the car.
