If your 99 interior and exterior are in good shape I say keep the 99 and mod the hell out of it. Your idea of a TT setup and forged engine sounds good to me. If you buy the 03 Termi, you will sooner or later want to mod it for more power. If you stay with the 99, you will still have a cobra and will have the money to do TT setup, forged engine and some other mods. It all depends on how much power you want in the long run.

Let me just give you a little explanation here. Your 99 cobra, while good is not completely forged. The 03' is. The 03' with injector and pump upgrade (add some fuel lines and change the filter). Your car with a KB Supercharger or Twin Turbo's will do in to the 700+ hp range. Anumber beyong comprehension. 500HP is hard to control on the street 700+ is almost retarded fast. And that kit is like $4-6K. Thats just Mind Boggling!!!

If you're looking to stay at or below 450hp, keep the 99 and supercharge it. If you're looking to make insane power like most of the twin turbo cobra's I've seen, then get the cobra, no question. All the forging has already been done w/ the Terminators and a bone stock,low-mile03 is VERY HARD to find.

Can you afford the Termie? If you can, get the Termie. Unless you're really attached to your car now. But it's hard to not want to trade in anything below a Termie for a Termie.

It's true. You have no idea how many times I look up on autotrader or something at Terminators. Then I see the price tag and get all pissed. But I still love my little 2v.

Well looks like I'm going to hang on to the 99 for now. The 03 was sold today while I was at work. I'm now setting cash aside for a shortblock that can handle some serious power... like an HP TT setup.
