I know a lot of automatic trannys will throw a check engine light when they have problems, but todaymy friends5speed SN95 threw a code. We cleared it and then later tried to figure out what caused it. I drove it today and it sounded like his TB was acting up and 3rd gear syncos seemed to be wearing down. Yall think thats what threw the code?

I never checked the code.... I just cleared it using the unplug the battery method.

1995 I think..... no wait..... what was the year that they put the 5.0 engine in the SN95? Because he has 5.0 on the sides but I never bothered to actually check.

 

94 & 95 were the only years with 5.0 for sn95

Won't a check engine light come on if the MAF sensor is acting up ? Not sure but my 92 check engine light stayed on when I installed o/r h pipe

 

Yea then its one of those. I gotta call him to double check incase he just did a badge swap like some people do. Gotta love the V6 to Cobra emblem swap.

 

But no one knows? I remeber my Dodge threw a check engine light for a tranny problem one time. Nothing major, just lacked tranny fluid.
