Did the 96 GT's come in different available packages as far as horsepower. For instance, couldthe person who bought a 96 GT have an option of a horsepower upgrade of up to 315 horsepower?

 

No..... The only thing with that much horsepower in a Mustang back then was the Cobra... and that was 305??

To answer your question , the 1996 mustang came with 215 ponies stock in the 2v and Ryan86272 was right the cobra had 305 at 5800 rpm. That was it though I don't believe that you could get different engine options other than those two, NOW there was a SN car that was the super snake or something like that dont quote me on that. Ford used to race those cars. But I don't believe you could order that package.
