9.258 @ 76.48 mph is my best so far. 98gt with some mods

My best so far has been a 9.255 @ 78.46. It was a pretty hot and humid night, and I had some traction issues. My 60' was a 2.197 and I was on street tires. I would spin bad on the 1-2 shift, and then bark them pretty good on the 2-3 shift.

bossy: are you auto or manual?

im just curious because i have an auto and havent taken it to the track yet.

if anybody with a 1996-98 auto has times, pleasepost.

You should do much much better on a more temperate night. With that list of mods I don't see how mine could be running anywhere close to yours.

mattofiesh must have gears or nos or something cause i felt really good about my launch no tire spin and its auto so my driving would not effect the time any were close the to 5 tenths.

my 1/8th mile first time at track was a 9.166 at 83mph.

My drag radials should be here in a week, so I think some traction would help too. That was my best ever 60' on the Sumi's, the rest are in the 2.2 - 2.4 range, most closer to 2.4. No matter what I tried, they didn't hook.
