Default Short shifter FYI

Well I just swapped on the pro 5.0 shifter onto my car an low and behold there was already a steeda tri-ax in place. Since the GT had the same tranny I have now owned and driven a 5.0, a tri-ax, and a MGW. Sinceso many people arealways asking about which one to get I figured I'd share some info. First of all the pro 5.0 is definately hands down the shortest shifter! However it is so short I think I'm going to have to modify my shift boot as it bunched up too much during my test run. As far a shifting distance or throw length, they are all very comparable but again I would say the 5.0 is the shortest again by a small margin over the MGW and Tri-ax. Now the MGW had a swivel handle so you could adjust the position of the shifter left to right and I have to admit that made it the most comfortable out of the three. All three are very stiff compared to stock and have very little slop. I am very pleased with the 5.0 I'm just going to have to get used to how friggen short it is. Overall I would say they are all great and depending on what you want one may suit you better than another. Also anyone interested in a Tri-ax? it is in great shape. (check the for sale in a couple days)
