Default paint

The paint on my hood is starting to peel off. What should i do, repaint the whole car, or just the hood? And if i repaint the whole car how eay is it to change the color. My current color is the charcoal grey/mineral grey, im not sure of the actual name. thanks for any input.

I would just repaint the hood (like $500). I think to repaint the whole car its like $2000-3000...and to do a legit color change (i.e. painting he door jambs and engine bay) I believe its more like $4000-5000. I'm not positive bout those figures. There are some guys on here who paint cars for a living so i'm sure they can be more helpful.

Just do the hood, but you may want to blend the fenders instead of color tinting so you get a better match, you might find yourself hating not paying the extra every time you see your hood color off from the fenders, but that's your call

It just depends. Those are just guess estimates. You will have to call around to your local body shops and ask them.

I had my new hood painted and aligned for $380...

Don't get the fenders blended, body shops do an EXCELLENT job with matching parts. Trust me, I work at one.
