Default Motive 3.90 gears?

I know some of you guys are sporting the motive gears, what are your thoughts on them? Are they as good a Ford racing? Most importantly will I need to worry about gear whine?

no gear should whine when installed properly. I'd go for it.

I have motive 4.10's, they are fine as long as they are installed properly.

i have motive 3.90's in mine. no whine, run great. plus u can't get 3.90's from Ford Racing, so you're kinda limited on your selection if you're set on the 3.90's

I've had Motive 3.90s for 2 years. No problems, no whine.
The most important thing is having them properly installed. Make sure that whoever you get to do it has done gears LOTS OF TIMES before. IT's no job for a beginner.

Great, thanks guys just ordered them, the master bearing kit, 3qts royal purple, a rear seat delete, and a car cover to keep it all looking good.

I have heard (from a friend) that replacing the gears can cause vibration in the driveshaft???

anyone have any confirmation on this

there may be vibration in the driveshaft when your on the highway and you let off the gas, when accelerating or cruising you won't feel it, but as soon as you let off the gas there will be vibration. I think an aluminum driveshaft will solve this.
