Default calling: mass people who know stuff.

I just bought a Mac o/R mid-pipe for my 01 gt. I suck at doing this type of stuff, so i was wondering if anyone around in mass can do it for me for a decent price, i'll drive to wherever, the reason i ask is because, i work to 6 p.m. and all the shops are closed bye the time i get out.. Which is inconvenient. If anyone can help me, let me know.

Sorry i'm in big Mich... But it's not as bad as you think. Make sure you use a swivel for the passenger side...

Hey man, listen.Iunderstand the thought of turning a wrench can scare the living crap out of somepeople, but trust me, changing out the mid pipe is very easy. I understand "easy" is a relative word, but if you have a jack and at least two jack stands and the proper handtools, you can do it in your garage/driveway in no more than3 hours. That'sassumingyou can check the air in your tires and the oil in your engine and don't get confused when some asks you how many cylinders you have.

There are numerous write-ups on the net and a couple on this forum that pretty much walk you through step-by-step on how to do it. Some even have pictures!

You'd be absolutely amazed at the amount of self gratification you would amass after accomplishing the swap out yourself.

I certainly would be more than happy to do it for you free of charge the next time you have the car out here in California.

Good luck.

the best thing for you to do is not have someone do it for you, rather help you. you can learn alot by being under the car, and if you find the right person they will be glad to explain things to you as you move along and don't be afraid to help out. i was in the same boat before, and had someone help me put my midpipe on. recently i changed out my catback with little help from a few buddies, but you can do it easily with help from someone who knows what they are doing. wouldn't be a bad idea to find some clubs in your area. club guys are great and willing to do anything to work on cars, they love it. goodluck!

Have some confidence bro. Ifyou do find someone to help you, try it yourselfwhile they guide/help you on what to do. This shouldgive you some confidence, and some much needed wrench time.Get 'er done!

Come on people! Man up! Guys need to know how to work on their own cars!!! Its easy. Unplug the 02's. Take off the eight bolts. Drop the pipe. Put the 02's from the old pipe in the new pipe. Put up the new pipe. Put the eight bolts back in. Plug in the 02's. Have fun. Get a ticket.
