Default 04 Mach capabilities

Thanks for the info for the 04 gt everyone, now I'd like some info about the 04 mach 1, if I understand correctly, its basically just an unsupercharged cobra, right? If I got this 04 mach 1 and supercharged it, how much boost, hp, etc... can it handle? and does it have the same tranny/rearend as the gt?

Its not quite an unsupercharged cobra. It is a 4v, but totally different shortblock than the 03/04 cobras. Unfortunately your in the same boat as 99/01 cobras, so easy to make 400+rwhp with boost, but the engine can't really handle more than 400-450. They rearend is pretty much a GT rear with 3.55 gears I believe.

the mach is a 4v but it isn't forged like the terminators so if u supercharged it it's limits would still be around 400-450hp

mach 1 has higher compression then a 03 04 cobra, it has a forged cranckshaft but nothing else is forged, the tranny is a 3650 if it is a 5 speed. The motor has the same limits as a gt around 450 max hp which with a supercharger is around 8lbs to be safe

5-speed = forged crank
automatic = not forged

We can only hold about as much as GT's because we still ahve the weak rods, etc.
We do have a solid axle which is a plus.

Mach's have 3.55's while the GTs do not.

Uhhhhh we are about1/4" or 1/2" lower thana GT.
It basically is a2001 Cobra engine.
Limits are about 400 but 450 if you feel like pushingrisk's buttons.

Oh and of course... the B-E-A-U-tiful shaker teehee

Or a major drawback, depending on who you ask....

They'realso different from 01 Cobra engines. Machs have 03 Termie heads, higher compressionand a different cam profile that favors torque.

The glass jaw is the same as any other non Termie 4.6: those damn hypereutectic pistons....
