i just want opinions. has anyone heard of or done, paint a supercharger to match the color scheme of engine. i bought a satin supercharger and want to paint it a bright red. so what do you think. will it harm anything and how do you think it would look.

would look cool if other items match the color under the hood hose's etc . what paint would you use that could take the heat and still have some gloss...rogerwilco

Its a show car look... Never seen it done to a Centri Unit...

 

I guess to each his own, but I say leave the paint off. Polished or satin, superchargers look just fine by themselves

 

I wouldn't do it myself nor have I ever seen it done. Why not just polish it and chrome the rest of the engine?

 

well i should have spent the extra money on the polished one but sence i didnt the rest of the stuff hose/wire looms are red so i thought that it would compliment it. but not sure would like some more input. add i dont take any comments personal so thanks to all

 

I think it would look kinda weird. If anything, it would probably throw off the look of the engine compartment. Now if you had more stuff in the same color like valve covers, battery/cover, fuse box etc... you could have a cool theme going. What color is your car?
