I raced a buddy of mine in his sonic bluelightning today... I'v never raced my car at the track, but his lightning runs 8.0's so I have an idea of what my car can do.. We got on the parkway, going about 50, and I pulled up next to him, and he just stomps it right off the bat andtakes off, well I had my car in fifth and wasnt ready, so hepulled onme about2-3 cars, then I dropped mine into 3rd, and laid into it....I started reeling him in, and when I shifted to 4th, he let off the gas and was about a truck ahead of me... Well we go on down the roada lil ways, and I'm ready to do it again... He pulled up next to me again, and I said one more time, he shook his head ok, and stomped it again, this time I was still in 5th, but I was also ready for him, he jumped on me about a half car, then I put it in third and laid into it again, and jumped right next to him, then I pulled about a car and a half in front of him in third, and as soon as I hit fourth I pulled about anoter car, then we let out of it..... I'm pretty happy of the results.. I know that we were going from a roll, so I cant really judge my time based onhis, but I do know that my car pulls alot harder... Well I thought I would justshare withyou guys about my race..

When we were at the car show hestated thats when his truck starts to pull... Buthis truck,just isnta truck, its an 8.00 sec (1/8)truck, on street tires..

It doesnt matter how much more it weighs than me, or how many valves it has... He's put alot of money into his truck, and it runs 8.0's... Theres alot ofguys whoputs lots of money in their 03-04 Cobra, and can only run 8.0's, 7.9's.... But to me it doesnt matter that its a truck, its an 8.0 truck... What does your car run in the 1/8?

 

My first ever kill at the track was a lightning with exhaust and CAI. I got him pretty good. That was right before my gears and motor. . . They're not that fast stock but they have a lot of potential.

 

I can assure you he was making a lot more power that first run then the second one. Being an L owner I have learned that heat soak is an absolute BASTARD. It is pretty noticable inside the truck. Either way good kill.
