Gears
I have a 01 GT, i race commonly, i drive street a lot, what do you guys recommend?
Motive 3.73's 129.99$
Motive Performance Plus 3.73 Gears for Mustang 8.8 Rear End 159.99$
FRPR 3.73's 179.99$
Motive performance 3.90 159.99$
So what do you guys think would be the best? I don't want 4.10's, they're to much.

get some 4.10's
dont fear the gear....
I got some motive 4.10's and they are great......
FRPP or Motive are going to both be great brands......just manke sure you have a reputible shop do the install....they should make no noise and your driveshaft should have no vibrations.....if either happen take back to shop....

I'm planning to go with 3.90s myself, but I'm not planning to be racing my 14-sec car
. It's just my daily driver to get me to work, so it's a little different compromise for me.
I looked at ALL the numbers (RPMs) and decided 3.73s aren't quite enough gear and 4.10s are slightly too much. I think 3.90 fits the bill nicely.
Here's the prob: My highly-recommended shop says FRPP gears are the only way to go, that Motive's are famous for making noise. I think I'm going to just go with the Motives so I get the gears I want and I'll just have to trust the shop to do good work. I just hope they don't blame any issues on shoddy gear quality. [
] The only other "trusted" shop that I'm aware of is much farther away (about 60 miles) and I wasn't impressed when I talked to them on the phone.
If you do alot of racing, unless you're on the highway going 80+ all the time when you're just driving, I wouldn't fear the 4.10s. You're only talking about 2500 RPM @ 70 MPH. I normally cruise at about 75 and that's more than half of my total driving, so I'm going with the slight RPM improvement of the 3.90s I think.
