I didnt know you need a ME degree to....
do a tune up on the ford expedition. Holy crap, thats a pain in the ***, its an 03 4.6 EXP. You need some kind of mechanical engineering degree to do all that crap. Either that or Ford needs a new ME to make that siht a whole lot easier. Gotta pull of the upper worthless engine cover, then the air intake assembly and then the power steering resevoir bracket. Then on the pass side, work around the cluster **** of heater hoses, t fittingsand vacuum lines, ****! I did a tune up on my stang in about 30 mins start to finish, on the same motor, in the EXP, it took an hour and a half. Thats without luckily dropping any of the coil pack screws or dropping plugs in upside down. Oh yea and half the motor is under the friggin dash! No room to work! AHHH!
Sorry just venting....

Haha, it's no eaiser for the techs at the dealership either. It's that last plug on the passenger side. If half the motor wasn't under the dash it wouldn't be that bad.

I only had one surprise. The rear plug on the driver side, has some goo on the threads of the plug. A gel like chemcial, it was weird....not antiseize or anything like that, almost like burnt coolant..
And when I was driving it my garage to work on it, the passenger rear widnow just fell down....didnt break, but it slide all the way down when I hit a bump. Then I had to pull the panel, Ford is sneaky on those doors, and the cable inside the motor is flopping everywhere and ofcourse, no one stocks em except the dealer who wants half a million up front, the other half upon delivery....
