Default LM1's VS LM2's

next month im doing my exhaust, im pretty sure i want SLP's but i dont know whether or not i would be better off going with the LM1's or the 2s, im also undecided whether or not i want to do headers im not doing my mid-pipe until spring and if i do headers im doin them in spring also. I want the car to be loud but im afraid of once i do a catless mid and possibly headers with the LM1's its going to be just too much. my friend has a 96' cobra with long tubes o/r X and LM1's and its pretty obnoxious and its basically all rasp there's no tone to it really. Is there any difference in gains from the 1's to the 2's?

LM1 = Raspier and very loud

LM2 = Deeper and somewhat quieter.

I would suggest the LM2s. I have them and I think they are great. I also have their long tubes and a catted x and the whole thing sounds pretty good. You can really make the 2s loud when you get on it, but it is a good sound, not a jackhammer. If later you will want something louder you can just swap in LM1s.

LM1's are just noise, IMO. LM 2's are a lot better.

I would suggest the LM2s. The O/R x pipe is part of why your buddy has so much rasp. He should have went with an H pipe.
