Default Professional Products Plenum and TB

I am thinking about getting this combo. I am worried about my car not running right due to air/fuel ratio being incorrect after the install. Is this valid, will I need a tune after? Should I do it myself or just have the shop were I got my gears installed do it?

An aftermarket TB and plenum will not affect a/f ratio, the PCM takes care of that. You will want to discomment the battery for 5 or more minutes after installing them to cleat the KAM (Keep Alive Memory). This is nostlyso that the computer can relearn the idle speed, however it will also reset the long-term fyuel trim values. I could tell a difference. Throttle seemed smoother.

70 mm, there is no advantage to a 75 mm TB unless you are planning on some serious boost down the road--in fact you can loose a bit of charge velocity at WOT by going larger, though probably not enough to matter. If I had the bucks and time I'd dyno 'em back to back to see. Howeverright now I'm at 246.7 HP/276.7 ft.lbs. which is pretty good for very basic bolt-ons and a tune, 26 HP/33 ft.lbs. better than when I got the car last December...

why does everybody insist that a 75mm is bad for an NA car? and FYI, a TB/plenum doesn't even add much power for blown cars either. i picked up a whopping 6RWHP.

i love doing mods with a before and after. this way i know just how full of crap manufacturers and some people making up numbers. found out how much the tb/plenum really adds, how much my meth kit added, and how much long tubes added when my car was already built and blown.
