Default 4cylinder front spring ride quality???

once again, i have more suspension questions. I was wondering the ride quality of the 4 cylinder front springs? Is it really bouncy? If they ride pretty good, im just goin to get them and cut the dead coil on my stock rears and be done with it. sure beats paying $250 for springs when i could spend that money on other stuff.

it's pretty smooth. Without the front swaybar the car leans into turns.

I bought my mustang recently and had to get the springs replaced because the set-up the owner had before me was the 4 cylinder springs and cut factory in the rear. The ride was terrible. I was lowered over 3 inches and scraped on everything. It was a very hard ride. Going over bridges on the highway was not my favorite thing either. I would bounce hard and then scrape the road.

It may have been related to how far this guy cut the springs, but I would not recommend it.

I went and bought the Ford Racing C Springs from American Muscle. Using the discount code from this forum when ordering it was $146 shipped to my house. Now my car still sits low and handles/rides muchbetter.

I hope that helped. Good luck with whatever set-up you choose.

yeah a 3" drop he really hacked them. I'm about 1.5" drop with the swaybar on and with it off and me sitting in the car it's about ~1.75" drop

yeah, im nota road racer or nothing so i wouldnt care what it handle like in the corners. This car is also not adaily driver so i wouldnt have to worry about a crappy ride everyday. When you guys are putting the 4cylinder fronts in, are you cutting them at all?I dont want a huge drop. I dont mind where the rear sits stock, but that front needs dropped bad. let me know so i can get these things ordered?

Get some B or C springs, or get a set of other used, name brand springs. I ended up getting a set of Steeda Sport Springs for around $125 shipped.

^. I paid $40 shipped for mine off ebay. I've heard of people getting them for $20 or less from the junkyard. I did NOT cut mine. They are gonna give you a pretty good drop regardless.
