Hey guys, I dont know what is going on here but hopefully you can keep me smiling or crush me .
The past two days I am crusing home and yesterday a Cobra 99-01 (year w/o SC) pulls next to me revin and revin......Two younger guys around my age 22. So we get a light a give the nod to one another. Light turns green and we hit it. To get to the point i won. He pulled out at first but then 2, 3, 4, i caught him and it was like a slingshot. after we cool down he pulls back up to me and is amazed. He said "that is one fast F'in car."

Then today the new Shelby Cobra(not GT500) i want to say the 350. It was an older gentlemen driving and same thing. we get a light and i win.

Can this be with my car and the mods i have, or could of been bad driving by the others?

Just my thoughts, but the Cobra was either a Fobra or couldn't drive and the "Shelby" couldn't drive. I can see you possibly putting up a fight to either, but even with your modsit seems to me you should've lost. Any idea what kinda #s you're puttig down? 1/4 mile stats?

 

If they could drive, you should have lost to both of them even if they were stock.

3rd gear on cobras will set you apart from a 4v and a 2v

unless that is there is some f/i in play

No, no numbers yet. I just bought the car at the end of May. I was talking with another buddy of mine who had a 99 Cobra, and he said it is possible that I was able to beat it. Like i said though, i dont know and that is why i turned to you guys. Well, I guess i will goto bed and cry now

if i had to guess your prolly putting 240-250 to the wheels

a stock cobra can put 280+/- to the wheels

 

His was stock. See, im glad you guys are here. Another feller told took my car for a ride and looked into deep, he said i am probably at close to 275 with all mods done.

Doesnt the GT stock come with 240?

 

they come with 260 to the fly

about 220-230 to the wheels

my friend has a full botl on gt puttin around 260rwhp without a tune

and you dont have lt's or shorties

 

Oh ok, i got ya. Thanks for all of the help and info. I guess the next thing i should do is throw on some headers. Do you agree? Is there anything else you could suggest for me. I really appreacte all of your help.

 

Sorry, with your mods there is no way your putting down 275 to the wheels. Most people are putting down around 230-235 stock. I doubt your mods are gonna give you another 40hp.
