this winter if all goes well i will be be purchasing a set of stock 02 GT heads and installing it in my 99 and since in there i was thinking about going with a stage 2 cam from VT, if i i was to get the stage 2 cams what else would i ahve to upgrade?

Why would you put 02 heads on a 99? Are yours damaged or something?

Alot of guys have been telling me that the 02-04 GT heads raise the compression in the 99-01 GT and give it around 70HP i didnt believe it at first first and then i started asking around and a couple of guys to me that it actually works

 

How much would that cost?im trying not to spend to much cash saving up for a brand new GT-500

 

What? Ive never heard that. 70 hp!?!? Are you sure you dont mean putting 99-04 heads on 96-98?? The heads are exactly the same from 99-04. . . . But you should port and polish them either way. Stage 2 cams are meant to work with aftermarket or ported heads. Its pointless to get stage 2 cams with stock heads.
