styling bar help
hey all. normally id be hangin around in the5.0 sections but i've got a question for the sn95 specific stangs and i figured theres more of you on these forums. well my dad has a 2000 vert and when i went to a junkyard for some trim pieces i noticed a 96-98 mustang that had a styling bar on it. the guy said he'd sell it to me for 50 bucks and my dad said he'd take it. my question is will it fit his car alright? and what sort of tools should we take to take it off the other car. we'll be in a junkyard so the less tools we have to take the better. thanks for any help guys!
yeah i know thats what i told the old man.
but he seems to think they're all pretty much the same.
i know the interiors are exactly the same but not sure how those things are mounted and if maybe they changed the mounting points or what not.

cause this isnt for my car.
my dad drives like an old man and has no plans of rolling the car over.
i know accidents happen but he only drives it on the weekends even tho it is just a 3.8
so it barely see's the road anyways...

Just take a bunch of tools and get it done. It can't be that hard to figure out.
Heck, for $50 your not loosing anything and if it dosn't fit, you could probably sell it for more then what you got into it.

Depends on who makes the bar. I got mine from CDC and I needed a flat head screw driver to remove back seat, I think phillips to remove some other screws and the bolts that connected the bar to the car were allen wrenches, maybe some sockets. I don't really remember it all, it was a while ago. And I don't think that the bar is going to fit if for a different body style
well just incase anyone ever needs to find this out cdc has instructions for it on their website and lists the tools you need.
and yes it bolted up perfectly to my dads 99-04 bodystyle even tho we took it off the 94-98 style.
the only difference we noticed was that the wire colors for the brake lights are different.
