Default Gears

Im looking at getting some 3.73 gears for my car....well duh its for my car...ok anyways, Im sure you can tell a big difference in stock gears and the 3.73's but how much of a difference? i know i was impressed with just the stock gears. Doing 80 in third gear and what not i dont remember the rest of the speeds at what gears but it was on the interstate while i was home over leave. Also what was the average price of install for them? This was going to be a throw up between the gears and a mach 1 chin spoiler but my g/f just said she is getting me the chin spoiler for my bday present so

Despite the 3.73/4.10 debate, you will be happy with either.

Give you an idea, me with my 4.10s

1st winds out to about 33ish
2nd poops til 50-55
3rd splooges at about 75ish
4th should go up to 105, maybe 108
forget 5th

Keep in mind, those speeds are before redline. With 3.73s, just add a few mph to each one.

You'll be happy with 3.73's...and more impressed with 4.10's(IMO).As long as you get some GOOD sticky tires....LOL.....3.73's and a super charger?just a opinion that its the most gear you wantto run..4.10's andVortech V2Works great for me......

Depending on your mileage, you may not need an installation kit. If you have 30k miles or less, justget the shims ,oil, and gears. I paid $129 for my gears (Motive 4.10), $25 for oil, $20 for shims, $100 for a speed cal,and $175 for labor. So, $450 total.

That's a rumor. I have had good luck with them so far. I put Motive 3.73s in my 2001 GT, 98 Z28,and now I have Motive 4.10s in my Mach without any noise, vibration, etc. It is all in the installation. If you or your installer knows what they are doing, you will have NO problems with any brand. The only plus FRPP and Motive Plus have over the cheaper motivegearsis weight.
